Since my last post I have made it through that special week and only failed one test. Although only failing one test is an improvement for me, it still brings a concern to the class. Even though my grade in that class is supported with decent homework grades and an average test grade, the destiny of the course is not yet decided.
Ok, I'm getting tired of writing about my classes and I'm sure you're getting the same vibe. Let me think... This semester has been the shortest out every year, and I don't really know why. Is it because I'm keeping myself busy with schoolwork, IM sports, or Campus Crusade? Possibly. But all I know is that I am going to miss the fall semester; the changing of colors, the transition of cold weather without heat to save rent money, the extra hour for daylight saving time, watching the freshmen adjust to the uneven bricks and city size university, and most of all... the NC State Volleyball games.
If you know my name, then it should already be obvious that I'm a big volleyball fan. And with that, being a fan of NCSU you get used to getting screwed over by officials and losing in general. Although I accept this as an inevitability, I know there are many who haven't made it there yet. The volleyball team has impressed me this year in a great amount. Not because they wear those tight, spandex shorts... ... ... Wait, what was I saying? Oh, right. This year they have crushed their ACC losing streak. It has been around four years I believe since a ACC win. So girls, here is my personal statement of gratitude. You have made it a pleasure this year to come to the home games and watch you all play. I even caught two shirts during the "half-time" periods. Keep working hard, I know in the next couple of seasons the program will grow far better than we have been in the past.
Ok, so my attempt with the title metaphor in this post hasn't been achieved yet. So in effort to continue it I would like to say that the "rumble strips" since my last post have been just getting through all the work and what frustration school generally brings. Go NCSU Volleyball Team!
