Encounter 08: Brief Overview

For four days college students from all over the mid eastern south gathered at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, NC. We all spent our winter break together praising and worshiping Christ. The theme this year was Christ the Redeemer. Rhett and Link hosted the conference and were hilarious, of course. The speakers were amazing, particularly Crawford Loritts and J. D. Greear.

I had the privilege of rooming with Andrew Slater, Morgan Evans and Taylor Anderson; they were all hilarious. We spent a good amount of time getting to know new people at the conference who were NCSU students. I also met and chilled with some students from Daytona Summer Project 07 with Patrick Smith. On one night I hung out with some of those who were there from my Santa Cruz Project. It was a good time for reflection and reminescing.

We had a New Year's dance party on the last day. Believe it or not, but yours truely got down on that dance floor and shook his tailfeather. I danced with several groups; first with some NCSU kids, then I had to show off my moves to the UNC crowd. Later on I was with Pat and his friends, then I went did some akward dancing with some strangers.
